2010 General Rule & Regulations

These Rules have been locked down until 2011
1. Hook up fee will be $10.00 per hook. There will be a Membership fee of $20.00 per person for the year. If you are not a member and do not want to buy a membership there will be a 1 time pull fee of $10.00. If you pull again that same year and pay pull fee of $10.00 you will have a full membership for the year.
2. All pullers must sign a release of injury form.
3. No vehicle shall pull more that one time per class, except in the event of a tie. Truck can pull in more than 1 class as long as they are legal in that class. Limit 1 class per night.
4. All pullers must be fully clothed, a shirt, long pants and enclosed shoes (for your safety)
5. Pullers will draw numbers to determine the pulling order. All pullers will have sufficient time to be ready to hook to the sled . Any puller not ready to hook to the sled in sufficient time will be grounds for DISQUALIFICATION. Lonnie may drop a puller having mechanical problems to a later position.
6. If the sled should break down during a class and cannot be fixed in a reasonable amount of time that class will be started over, beginning with the number ONE PULLER.
7. Puller may have the sled spotted on the starting line if HE/SHE desires, provided that Lonnie is notified in a sufficient amount of time to have the sled spotted in location as the sled is returned to the starting line from the pervious pull.
8. All pullers must start with a tight hitch NO JERKING!
9. All vehicles must have a working reverse, but can manually be rolled from the sled in case of mechanical failure only.
10. Any vehicle left running while on the track with the driver not in the seat will be DISQUALIFIED.
11. Pulling the vehicles must be operated in a safe manner at all times within the confines of the track, pits and staging area. Lonnie has the right to stop and disqualify any vehicle not being operated in a safe manner.
12. Owner or Driver of vehicle is the only one to talk to Lonnie about a problem. NO PIT CREW MEMBERS ALLOWED TO DISCUSS PROBLEMS.
13.All vehicles MUST pass safety inspection.
14.Any pullers attempting to pull before given green flag/light will be DISQUALIFIED.
15.Vehicle MUST be stopped immediately upon getting the red flag/light. The pull shall be over when forward motion of the sled stops. All pull distances will be measured from the center of the front edge of the sled.
16.A pull is DISQUALIFIED if ANY part of the VEHICLE goes out of bounds.
17. Any weight or METAL equipment lost whle hooked to the sled will result in DISQUALIFICATION. Any rubber objects or fluid is not grounds for disqualification.
18. one will be allowed on the track except track officials and pullers including ten feet in any direction outside the track boundaries.
19. Use of ANY profanity or threats by a puller or their crew toward an official or sponsor of a pull shall be cause for SUSPENSION for ONE YEAR.
20. Consumption of ANY alcoholic beverages or drugs will be cause for DISQUALIFICATION & SUSPENSION for ONE YEAR.
21. All vehicles will be subject to a reweigh at any give time
22. NO NITROUS OXIDE ALLOWED AT ALL! NATURALLY ASPIRATED ENGINES ONLY! Alcohol and methanol can be used if an additive is used so it can be seen when it burns AND A FULL FIRE SUIT IS WORN.
23. PROTEST PROCEDURES: $100.00 PER VEHICLE @ time of protest for weights and hitches.
A) Make protest before prize money is awarded in the class
B) Be a member of the same class as the protested vehicle.
If protested vehicle is found illegal, said vehicle will be denied the prize money they may have won, and the protesters fee will be returned. If the protested vehicle is found legal they get the protest money and any prize money they may have won..
24. Any owner that is believed illegal and knows he is legal, may prove himself by tearing down. When any vehicle is found illegal on cubic inch, or found using ANY FORM OF NITROUS OXIDE said vehicle will be BARRED from pulling for ONE YEAR. NATURALLY ASPIRATED ENGINES ONLY!
25. All tracks must have available dirt track minimum of 150 feet and not exceed 300 feet in length and not be less than 25 feet wide.
26. PAYOUTS: 1ST HALF OF THE PULL WILL BE PAID OUT AT INTERMISSION ( PROVIDED THERE IS TIME) AND THE 2ND HALF OF THE PULL WILL BE PAID OUT AT THE END OF THE PULL(TO CUT DOWN ON THE FRUSTRATIONS BECAUSE IT IS VERY HECTIC TO DO PAYOUTS DURING THE PULL)YOUR HELP WILL BE DEEPLY APPRECIATED.
27. IF RUNNING ALCOHOL YOU MUST WEAR A FULL FIRE SUIT. IT IS MANDATORY!!
28. A FULL FIRE EXTINGUISHER IS REQUIRED ON OR IN ALL PULLING VEHICLES HOOKING TO SLED ( WITH EXCEPTION OF HOMETOWN CLASS).
29. All hitches must come straight out & hook must be at top of hitch.
30. As you know NODEISEL. 31.Chalklines will be the boundaries all year.
32. No $100.00 bills or checks
33. No going back to trucks & or trailers after weighing, If you return to your truck & or trailer with your pulling vehicle (Without special permission from sled team) you will be disqualified for the entire night
34. If there are any suspicions in the top 3 spots in any of the classes they will be subject to reweigh before payouts.If you are over weight you will be disqualified & the next puller will be moved up.
35. All modified trucks/pro street trucks must have safety Bell housing & flywheels, No Homemade Shields, No Exceptions. If running automatic you must have SFI flywheel & Shields or blanket
36. New Motor Protest Rules:
A. Mini Trucks-$350.00 plus $50.00 to sled team
B. 2WD Stock-$350.00 plus $50.00 to sled team
C. 2WD Open-$500.00 plus $50.00 to sled team
D. Stock 4WD-$350.00 plus $50.00 to sled team
E. Pro Street Class-$500.00.
1500LB MINI RODS
1. Maximum weight of mini rod and driver shall be 1500lbs. All drivers of the mini rod class must have a valid drivers license and helmet with chin straps securely fastened.
2. Mini rods are not to be over 54” wide and no longer than 6’ between axles, no mini rod shall exceed 8’ in overall length.
3. No turbo charges or blowers allowed.
4. A kill switch must be attached to the center of the mini rod behind the driver and in a position so it can be easily hooked and unhooked to the sled on all pulls.
5. All mini rods will have a battery disconnect switch located within that drivers reach and must be reached easily by track officials in case of a problem. This switch must be in battery line before going to the starter and kill all power to the unit.
6. Rims are not to exceed 12” in diameter, tires are not to exceed 12” in width and 26” in height
7. Contest is open to entries with rubber tires, no 4WD’S permitted, no dual wheels, tires studs, cleats, chains or paddle tires allowed.
8. All power must be transmitted through the wheels
9. All belts and clutches must be adequately shielded by a board approved shield.
10. It is mandatory that all mini rods have an adequate safety device (wheelie bars) to prevent it from turning over. This device must be adequate to support the weight of the mini rod. First time pullers will be required to have the above mentioned safety devices.
11. Wheelie bars and weights must be attached so as not to interfere with the hooking and unhooking of the sled chain to the drawbar.
12. Draw bars are to be stationary in all movement and are to be constructed from 1 ½” hole.
13. Maximum hitch height is 13” from the top of hitching device parallel to the ground.
14. Point of hitch shall not extend pass vertical plane of the rear tires. Hitch must be constructed in such a manner as not to restrict fast hooking and unhooking maximum depth from point of hook to back of drawbar is ¾” minimum, depth is ½”
15. No portion of the mini rod shall interfere with the hook of the sled during the pull.
16. All exhaust must discharge vertical at least 12” above bend and be securely attached.
17. All weights, weight brackets or boxes must be safely secured to the mini rod and not extend beyond the rear tires. No weights in the seat or on the hood. Any weights, etc. lost while hooked to the sled will be cause for disqualification.
18. All mini rods must be equipped with brakes in workable condition and must have a working reverse gear.
19. All vehicles must have a minimum of 2 pounds ABC with gauge dry chemical fire extinguisher secured to the vehicle and convenient to the driver.
20. Hand throttles must be string loaded. Motor must come to an idle when hand is taken off the throttle.
21. All drive line u-joints must be enclosed 360 degrees. Shield is to be 1/16” thick steel or 1/8” aluminum. Shield should be close enough to the joint to restrain any broken parts. Joint should not be visible from side, top or bottom. Each drive shaft must have a minimum of 2 loops. If vehicle has a shaft between the transmission and the rear end no longer than 24” on loop properly centered. Two shaft pieces must have 4 loops. Loop location to be less than 6” and no more that 12” on solid end of shaft and 1” past stud on end with slip joint so if the slip joint breaks the shaft cannot drop. Loop material made of aluminum shall be ¼” thick. Maximum clearance to be 2” horizontally and 8” both ways vertically.
22. The use of torque converters and automatics shifts, etc. will be permitted.
23.All automatics must have a park/neutral safety switch and manuals must have a clutch switch
24. Automatics must have approved blankets or be shielded 360 degrees with ¼” steel or aluminum, minimum of 4” wide. Any substitute for the above safety equipment must be approved by the officials.
25. NO PASSENGERS (DRIVERS ONLY) NO EXCEPTIONS.
26. If you are 1st puller and you pull out of bounds you do not get the option of a repull, also if you are 1st puller and want to take advantage of you repull option you must tell the officials immediately following your pull. You cannot wait for others to pull before stating you want to repull.
27. Any vehicle that doesn’t exceed the 50’ mark can restart. You will have 2 attempts to move the sled past 50'
2900 LB MINI TRUCK
1. Contestants must be 18 years of age or older or 16 years of age with parent or guardian’s signature. Contestant also must have a valid drivers license.
2. All vehicles must be in neutral or park while being hooked and unhooked and NO REVVING MOTORS. Must have a working red light for reverse while backing.
3. All vehicles must have an automatic ignition kill switch.
4. All vehicle must have a minimum of 2 pound ABC with gauge dry chemical fire extinguisher secured to the vehicle and convenient to the driver.
5. All vehicle engines equipped with a harmonic balancer or steel hub mst be shrouded with ¼” steel no more than 1” away in any direction of rotation, 360 degrees to be securely fastened, with a minimum of 2 ears, each extending 1” in front of hub. A bolt in the crankshaft to hold damper pulley in place is also required.
6. A deflection shield is required on both sides of all engines. Shield must extend the complete length of the block and be securely fastened. Shield to be made of .060 thick aluminum or safety blanket material, shielding on all engines must extend from base to head or the upper most point of the piston travel to 2” below bottom center of crankshaft throw and be securely fastened.
7. Seat belts are required. Seat belts and helmet must be worn while pulling.
8. Drawbar must be equipped with steel hitch no less than ½” or no more than ¾” thick with a minimum opening of 3” in diameter. A 3” hole must be within drawbar to be stationary in all movement. Maximum height shall be 26” from top of hitch parallel to the ground. Hitch must be constructed for fast hooking and unhooking. Pulling point must be within 1½ ” from back edge of hitch and no less than ½”.
9. All drive line u-joints must be enclosed 360 degrees shield 1/16” steel or 1/8” aluminum. Shields must be close enough to joint to restrain any broken parts joint should not be visible from side, top or bottom.
10. Each drive shaft must have a minimum of 2 loops. If vehicle has a shaft between transmission and rear end no longer than 25” one loop properly centered.
Two piece shafts must have 4 loops.
11. Loop location to be no less than 6” and no more than 12” on solid end of shaft and 1” past stud on end with slip joint, or 3 loops evenly spaced so that if slip joint breaks shaft cannot drop.
12. Loop material shall be made of steel no less than ¾” wide. 1/8” thick, if aluminum minimum of ¼” thick. Maximum clearances to be 2” horizontally and 8” both ways vertically.
13. If original vehicle has doors, they must be kept on and closed. Flip top body’s must have as escape hatch in the roof, front or back.
14. If battery is inside cab, it must be safely secured and enclosed.
15. All vehicles with flywheels must have SFI approved housing or housing must be shielded 360 degrees with ¼” steel automatics must be shielded 360 degrees with "steel around flywheel area.
16. Hand throttles must be spring loaded. Motor must come to an idle when hand is taken off the throttle. Foot throttle must be equipped.
17. All vehicles must have wheelie bars. Wheelie bars must be able to support the weight of the vehicle. Wheelie bars must not stick out further back than the rear of the vehicle and parallel to the ground.
18. Vehicles must have a presentable bed or flatbed.
19. No fuel tanks, radiators, water hoses, fuel pressure gauges, fuel pumps, fuel lines inside cab.
20. Maximum tire size is 31x15.50x15. Tractor lug type tire will be allowed. No duel wheels, tires studs, chains or paddle tires.
21. Maximum length of vehicle is 15’ including weights.
22. Engine size shall not exceed 377 Cu. In. small block. Cast iron blocks and heads only.
23. All exhaust must exit vertically or straight back under the truck.
24. No injectors, blower, or turbo, single carb only.
25. Weight classes will be 2900 lbs. this weight includes the truck and driver
26. All driveline brakes shall be shielded 360 degrees, ¼” steel, 4” wide.
27. Any engine drive fan must have a 1/16” minimum metal 360 degrees around that fan blade. Shroud shall be no more that 1” from radiator care to ¼” past rear of blade.
28. NO PASSENGERS (DRIVERS ONLY) NO EXCEPTIONS.
29. If you are 1st puller and you pull out of bounds you do not get he option of a repull, also if you are 1st puller and want top take advantage of your repull option you must tell the officials immediately following your pull.You cannot wait for others to pull before stating you want to repull.
6000 LB
STOCK 2WD CLASS
SMALL BLOCKS ONLY
1. Small Blocks are allowed, not to exceed 408 Cubic Inch. Big Blocks allowed, not to exceed 472 Cubic Inch
2. Open headers allowed.
3 Big Blocks in this class are required to pull 15 lbs of Vaccum.
4. Tires must be DOT approved. Tire maximum height is 35“, no limit on width.
5. Hitch height maximum 30”. all hitches will be checked before pulling.
6. Hitch must be at least 42” from center of the rear end. All hitches must be stationary, but adjustable in height. Most be solid and cannot pivot. Hitch must come straight out and hook point must be at top of hitch.
7. All trucks must have brakes.
8. Vehicle must be in park or neutral while being hooked and unhooked. NO REVVING OF MOTORS.
9. Rear end can be blocked, can be removable or solid.
10. No extra rear end bracing.
11. No transfer cases and no dual wheels.
12. Puller must stop vehicle immediately upon signal from track officials and or red lights.
14. Classes will be 2WD 5500 & 6000Lb. If you can’t meet the weight limit you can’t enter.
15. Any weights and or equipment lost off truck while hooked to the sled will mean DISQUALIFICATION.
16. Weights may be past the front bumper but no further than 15ft. Of the center of the rear. No weights are to be past the tail gate.
17. NO PASSENGERS (DRIVERS ONLY) NO EXCEPTIONS.
18. After weight in, pull into line up area by sled, be ready to pull when called.
19. HOOD IS REQUIRED.
20. No opening of hoods after weigh in.
21. No adding weights after weigh in, moving weights around is allowed.
22. Must have working kill switch.
24. If you are 1st puller and you pull out of bounds you do not get he option of a repull, also if you are 1st puller and want top take advantage of your repull option you must tell the officials immediately following your pull. You cannot wait for others to pull before stating you want to repull.

1. Contestant must be 16 years of age or older with a valid drivers license.
2. Up draft or open headers allowed.
3. Big blocks or small blocks can be run. Big blocks are limited to 1 dominator.
4. No split carbs.
5. Any cyl. Head.
6. 540 Cu. In. limit.
7. Modified 2WD’S can run transfer case.
8. Naturally aspirated engines only.
9. Must run stock appearing truck body. (Fiberglass, carbon fiber, aluminum body or body parts allowed). Hood is required. Cut outs for headers and breathers allowed. Filters or carbs do not have to be covered with hood scoops.
10. Tires must be DOT approved. Tire maximum height is 35”, no limit on width.
11. Hitch height maximum 30”. All hitches will be checked before pulling.
12. Hitch must be at least 42” from center of the rear end. All hitches must be stationary, but adjustable height. Must be solid and cannot pivot. Hitch must come straight out and hook point must be at top of hitch.

STOCK 4X4
6200LB CLASS
1. 472 Cu. In. limit on big blocks. Stock engines only, cast block and heads only. Single carb only.
2. Must pull 17” of vacuum at 800 rpm at the base of the carb. Another team member of the same class has to witness pulling vacuum.
3. If officials don’t believe your vehicle will net the vacuum rule, stock vacuum will be checked.
4. Can run open headers but has to be behind the cab of the truck.
5. Tires must be DOT approved. Tire maximum height is 35”, no limit on width.
6. Hitch height is 26” maximum. All hitches will be checked before pulling.
7. Hitch must be at least 42” from center of the rear end. Must be stationary, but adjustable in height. Must be solid, flat and cannot pivot.
8. All must run together.
9. All trucks must have working brakes.
10. Vehicle must be in neutral or park while being hooked and unhooked. No revving motors.
11. Rearend can be blocked, can be solid or removable.
12. No dual wheels.
13. Puller must stop vehicle immediately upon signal from track officials and or red lights.
14. Classes will be 4x4 6200lb. If you can’t meet the weight limit you can’t enter.
15. Any weights and or equipment lost off truck while hooked to the sled will mean DISQUALIFICATION.
16. No weights in front of the bumper.
17. NO PASSENGERS (DRIVERS ONLY) NO EXCEPTIONS.
19. After weigh in pull into line up area by sled and be ready to pull when called.
20. HOOD IS REQUIRED. No opening of the hoods after weigh in. no adding weight, moving weight around is allowed.
21. Must have one loop on each end of drive shaft (must have 2 rings)
22. MUST HAVE WORKING KILL SWITCH.

PRO STREET CLASS
ENGINE:
1. Any cyl. Head allowed.
2. Naturally aspirated engines only.
3. 540 Cu. In. limit
4. Maximum of 2 dominator carbs, no split carbs. No fuel injection.
5. Must run racing type fuel.
6. Any type intake manifold allowed.
GENERAL RULES:
1. Any running gear allowed ( front, rear, transmission or transfer case).
2. 133” wheel base maximum ½ tolerance ( can run less wheel base if desired).
3. No part of truck, weight, fuel tank, etc. to be ahead of the 60” rule.
4. Tires must be DOT approved. Tire maximum height is 40”
5. Must run stock appearing tuck body ( fiberglass, carbon fiber, aluminum body or body parts allowed). HOOD IS REQUIRED. Cut outs for headers and breathers allowed. Filters or carbs do not have to be covered with hood scoops.
6. Hitch heights 26”. must be rigged in all directions. All hitches will be checked before pulling.
7. Hitch can be no shorter than 36% of wheel base.
8. Hitch must not be able to rise during pulling. No cam type hitches or rear suspension allowed.
9. Rear of block can be no farther forward than centerline of front axle. You do not have to move the motor forward.
10. Headers must exit up or down and back. Headers may not point or angle down or toward the crowd. Must point straight back.
11. Must have SFI approved shatter proof belhousing or blanker and SFI approved harmonic balancer.
12. NO PASSENGERS (DRIVERS ONLY) NO EXCEPTIONS.
13. No opening of hood after weigh in. moving weights around is acceptable.
14. If you are 1st puller and you pull out of bounds you do not get he option of a repull, also if you are 1st puller and want top take advantage of your repull option you must tell the officials immediately following your pull you cannot wait for other to pull before stating you want to repull.
15. All Drive line u-joints must be enclosed 360 degrees shield 1/16” steel or 1/8”
aluminum. Shields must be close enough to joint to restrain any broken parts. Joint should not be visible from side, top or bottom.
16. Each drive shaft must have a minimum of 2 loops. If vehicle has a shaft between transmission and rear end no longer than 25” one loop properly centered. Two piece shafts must have 4 loops.
17. Loop location to be no less than 6” and no more than 12” on solid end of shaft and 1”past stud on end with slip joint, or 3 loops evenly spaced so that if slip joint breaks, shaft cannot drop.
18. Loop material shall be made of steel no less than ¾” wide. 1/8” thick, if aluminum and a minimum of ¼” thick. Maximum clearances to be 2” horizontally and 8” both ways vertically.
19. If original vehicle has doors, they must be kept on and closed. Flip top body’s must have an escape hatch in the roof, front or back.
20. If battery is inside cab, it must be safely secured and enclosed.
21. All vehicles with flywheels must have SFI approved housing or housing must be shielded 360 degrees with ¼” steel. Automatics must be shielded 360 degrees with ¼” steel around flywheel area.
22. Hand throttles must be spring loaded. Motor must come to an idle when hand is taken off the throttle. Foot throttle must be equipped.
23. Vehicles must have a presentable bed or flatbed.
24. No fuel tanks, radiators, water hoses, fuel pressure gauges, fuel pumps, fuel lines inside cab.
25. All driveline brakes shall be shielded 360 degrees, ¼” steel, 4” wide.
HOMETOWN
GAS CLASS
1. NO ADDED WEIGHT.
2. No blocking on the rear axle.
3. Truck must be licensed and insured.
4. Must have street legal tires, no dual wheels
5. NO PASSENGERS (DRIVERS ONLY) NO EXCEPTIONS.
6. If there are less than 5 trucks in the class you have the option to pull in the 2WD and 4WD class.
7. ALL GENERAL RULES APPLY except membership fees. There is a $15.00 hook fee. $5.00 of hook fee goes in the association general fund.
